La Fée Sponsors Tracey Emin's Launch Party. The location for the launch party for Tracey Emin’s book Stangeland reflects her new mood of sophistication.

The sumptuously palatial surrounds of the Robert Adam building at 33, Portland Place is beguiling with its sweeping stone staircase, high plaster ceilings and Napoleonic chandeliers.Just inside the opulent reception room the La Fée Absinthe fountain was in full flow, water dripping into the waiting absinthe glasses for the assorted media types and celebrities.

George Rowley, MD of La Fée, chatted to Emin about past sponsorships with La Fée at White Cube when she was an up and coming artists. Emin rolled her eyes and her mouth twisted into her trademark crooked smile when she talked about her past absinthe days.

Emin gave a short thank you speech to her editor who had condensed thousands of pages of her writings and diaries into this memoire. 'He got rid of all the crap,' Emin said laughing 'which is why it's such a small book.'
