The Absinthe Bus

As every city-bound absinthian knows, one should never drink & drive; one should get a bus.

At La Fée Absinthe we decided to take this to heart, seeing that we needed a form of transport to get us round to all the festivals and parties that despirately needed absinthe. So we bought one, and painted it absinthe-green. It currently sports side-board adverts for La Fée Absinthe, with the distinctive eye logo.

La Fée arrives in Birmingham - by double Decker Bus!

The Absinthe Bus made one of its famous trips, on this occasion to Birmingham UK, where George Rowley, La Fée's MD was interviewed by a local Newspaper. Next stop Birmingham Alabama! Read 'Absinthe makes the head go bonkers' in full.

The Absinthe Bus got its first outing at this summer's dance music festival; Gatecrasher. The bus was part of the VIP area, and played host to many top celebs and an MTV film crew.

The Absinthe Bus

Downstairs looks like a normal 1960s 'Summer Holiday' hop-on, hop-off Routemaster, seating 28. However, we couldn't get anywhere near those 28 seats after MTV had set up shop!

Upstairs on the Absinthe Bus

But go upstairs and a luxury lounge bar, complete with chrome barstools, technics/Indigo sound system and absinthe bar await!

The Bus's second outing was to the Bar industry's première trade fair bar. Held at The Business Design Center, Upper Street, Islington, we were at the fair to launch La Fée Absinthe, and the Absinthe Bus was on hand to to take attendees on a short hop around London.

Keep an eye out — it may be coming your way!
