The La Fée Absinthe XS range was launched earlier this year and has won several awards at some of the world's most prestigious ‘spirit’ and ‘absinthe’ competitions.

Most recently XS came out on top at the 2007 Absinthiades in Pontarlier, France. The Absinthiades is an annual event where the public, VIPs and absinthe professionals get together and blind taste a selection of top quality absinthe from France and Switzerland. La Fée XS Suisse was awarded most points over all and won the ‘Absinthiades Golden Spoon Award’ while La Fée XS Française received silver and highest scores in the French category.

Last month La Fée XS Suisse won the prestigious ‘New Brand Innovation Award’ at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) 2007. Each year nearly a thousand spirits from across the globe are tasted and judged by the industry’s leading international spirits experts at the ISC. At the 12th Annual Awards Dinner at Claridges in London in September 2007 8 trophies and 16 category champions were announced along with three very special awards one being La Fée XS’s ‘New Brand Innovation Award’.

George said ‘We have been passionate about absinthe for many years and for La Fée to be presented with an award of this calibre, especially up against such prestigious and recognised products from todays vast spirit market, is very exciting and shows that absinthe as a category is becoming more accepted.’

And earlier in the year La Fée Absinthe XS Suisse was awarded Silver ‘Best in Class’ at The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC). The IWSC is the premier competition of its kind in the world with the aim of promoting the quality and excellence of the world’s best wines, spirits and liqueurs.

All in all a good start for our extra supérieure range of wine based quality absinthe.
