MethodCream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Beat in eggs until fluffy and add oil, absinthe, lemon juice and candy flavoring oils, blend well. Combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamy mixture. Wrap and chill for several hours. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (163 degrees C). Roll dough into small balls and flatten on cookie sheet with the bottom of a drinking glass dipped in granulated sugar (to prevent sticking - if you use a LaFee absinthe glass, the eye logo will be visible on the baked cookies, if un-frosted). Bake 8-10 minutes. Serve as-is or Frost with LaFee Absinthe icing when cool & sprinkle with sugar crystals. Posted: 16 August 2004 Tell a friend about this page: |
